ANZAC Cemetery

On Sunday we visited the ANZAC Cemetery in Harefield, which lies next to Harefield Hospital which started it's life during World War 1 as the 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital. Those who died at the hosptial were buried in the largest ANZAC Cemetery outside of Australia and New Zealand. Of the more than 100 graves there, though, I couldn't identify any Kiwis though I undestand they were treated in the hospital. The unique scroll design was chosen by staff and patients.

We hope to go and visit the Cannock Chase War Cemetery where many New Zealanders are buried at some point. The New Zealand Rifle Brigade was based at Cannock Chase in the 1st World War.
